Call waiting on ring groups has been in 3CX for a very long time ( since version 7 anyway ) – it’s hidden away in Advanced Settings under the parameter “ALLOWUSEBUSYOPTFORGROUP”.
We’ve found that this feature is essential to our customers and some of the guides online are not very clear .
To enable call waiting on ring groups in 3CX – perform the following:
- Open the 3CX Management Console
- Open the Settings page
- Open Advanced
- Open the “Custom Parameters” tab in the Advanced Settings page
- Search for the “ALLOWUSEBUSYOPTFORGROUP” and change the value from 0 to 1
- Restart the 3CX services
- Test 🙂
Call waiting on ring groups in 3CX should now be active.
